  4. Amazon API “not connected” – Frequent causes

In case the plugin was not able to establish a connection to the Amazon API, here are some of the most frequent causes:

  • You haven’t been signed up for the Amazon Product Advertising API yet (instructions)
  • API access and/or secret key are invalid (creating API credentials)
  • The plugin wasn’t able to communicate with the Amazon API due to the fact that your server doesn’t met all requirements (see technical requirements)
  • The email you’re using to login to the AWS area and Amazon Associates are not the same
